Looking Glass Rock

I’m doing some solo travel for the first time in years & am looking for recs in the NC mountains to visit for 2-3 days. I frequent Asheville, Boone, & Blowing Rock, but am looking to expand my horizons. I love a cute small town, anywhere with views & if there’s water nearby I think that would solve most of life’s problems. What are your fav hidden gems?
